A South Jersey girl, born and raised, Lisa grew up in a small suburban town with her mother, father, and younger brother. She would spend most of her childhood days playing on her grandparent's farm, watching re-runs of classic TV shows and rummaging through her mom's old records.

Lisa soon discovered a six-string guitar in her grandparents' house in which she fell in love with at first sight. As a child, her mom enrolled Lisa in dance lessons and beauty pageants, but her true love was singing.

As a teenager, Lisa discovered she had a good ear for music and was very inspired by the music of the mid- 90's with such bands as The Smashing Pumpkins, Green Day, and Garbage. She started to play guitar frequently and began writing poetry that led to the creation of her songwriting abilities.

Her sound is not that of typical folk singer, but has a mixture of underlying rock rhythms and melodies from influences such as The Smashing Pumpkins, The Beatles, and The Doors.

Lisa's live shows are filled with songs, poetry, and inspirations of hope. Being a huge Beatles fan, Lisa devotes her message to positive thinking and letting go of the past to find inner peace and love.

In the spring of 2005 she was featured in her University's talk show, Rowan Magazine, as a new and upcoming artist and had the opportunity to shoot a music video for her song "Letting You Go".

Lisa has a 4-track EP available titled Tales of a Misled Youth in which was recorded in her bedroom and is presently working in the studio on her full-length album. "I always wanted to bring my music to life and I think taking my music a step further and into the studio is going to make a world of difference," says Lisa, "I'm proud of my work and I want others to be proud with me."

"I think being true to yourself is the best gift you can give yourself and love is the answer to all of life's problems. With a little patience, with a little love anything is possible." Lisa Cavallaro
